Queen by Aimee Carter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The rebellion is continuing but the black coats may be on the losing side as "Daxton Hart" thwarts their plans at every turn. His secret must be exposed but that might not be as easy to do as it sounds.
Kitty was so strong throughout the whole ordeal and I loved how she has the support of Benjy. It took a lot of courage to be able to hold back and wait for the right time to act. Even though this book focused on the rebellion I wanted a little more romantic relationship development. I did like how the story progressed though. Aimee carter wrote a very successful trilogy.
(view spoiler)[I never really liked Benjy, as a best friend -yes, as a love interest - not even close. He just didn't do it for me. However, when I thought he was going to be executed I had this heart wrenching moment. I loved him, I sobbed, I cried and I wanted everything to be okay in my fake little world. In that moment I loved Benjy. (hide spoiler)]
