Review: A Blaze of Sun

A Blaze of Sun A Blaze of Sun by Bella Forrest
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An interesting turn of events. So much happens in each of these books I do t know how the series can last as long as it does. I really liked how brave Sofia's character is and her sense of what is right and wrong. The ending was a surprise.

Review: Heart Burn

Heart Burn Heart Burn by C.J. Archer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hannah doesn't have a great deal of time left and August might not be able to help her in time.

I greatly enjoyed the ending and how everything turned out. I was so happy for the characters and the secrets revealed were pretty interesting.

Review: Playing With Fire

Playing With Fire Playing With Fire by C.J. Archer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As the story continues Hannah and jack find out more about their past.

I enjoyed the continuation of the story and sorting out a little bit more of the mystery. August Langley is SO frustrating I just want to throttle him, God can't that man ever answer a straight question. I hope all is resolved in the last book.

Review: Scars and Songs

Scars and Songs Scars and Songs by Christine Zolendz
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Books 1 and 2 from Shane's point of view.

Shane is very, very sexy. I liked getting his perspective on the events and it made him even that much more lovable and heartwarming. Of course the story was most repeat but the author made a great effort of making even that interesting.

Review: Saving Grace

Saving Grace Saving Grace by Christine Zolendz
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

With a cliffhanger like that I was expecting something pretty epic to start off with. While I wasn't too disappointed I kept thinking why are they (Shane and Grace) acting like this after what just happened?!?!

OMG hotness simply pours out of Shane's mouth. Even with his overall portrayed character he is still quite a savory hunk. I am really interested to read from Shane's point of view and get the perspective from his side (while I don't usually like author's that do that Shane seems like quite the complex character and I would like a glimpse inside that head of his).

Review: Fall From Grace

Fall From Grace Fall From Grace by Christine Zolendz
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fall from grace

4.5 stars

Grace has lost everything and everyone she loves. Right after losing her brother to cancers he goes back to her best friend, Lea. There she meets Shane and everything changes.

I was very confused by this story in the beginning because it wasn't explained very well and the reader was just thrown in the middle. It was very captivating, the writing style and I greatly enjoyed Shane and graces interactions. It ended off on a cliff hanger that I can't wait to read the next one.

Note: I received this book free from Amazon.

Review: Bite Me, Your Grace

Bite Me, Your Grace Bite Me, Your Grace by Brooklyn Ann
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bite me, your grace

I greatly enjoyed the interpretation the author had of 'the vampyre' and the story was both entertaining and comical in some aspects. The characters were well written and interesting while being appropriate for the era. I'm interested to see what the author has in store for her next book.

Review: The Isle of the Lost

The Isle of the Lost The Isle of the Lost by Melissa de la Cruz
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.5 stars

I think my expectations were a bit too high on this. While I did enjoy the storyline and found it interesting, it came off as extremely cheesy and not very Disney.

Review: Cursed

Cursed Cursed by Evangeline Anderson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.5 stars

We have briefly seen Charlotte before right at the beginning of the series and not in a very favorable light to the kindred. That starts off her relationship with Stravos in a bad way. Strav only has a little time left because he is cursed and can feel the pain of others. To save earth from the dark kindred they must lose as mates at a retreat to find the heart of love.

I liked both characters and thought they were pretty entertaining. The story wasn't as favorable to me as the others though, I found it to be less exciting. I like how sylvan has managed to stay in the series so much and the earth girls club in the mothership is certainly expanding.
